Madhya Pradesh CM to host a meeting on July 26 on ‘Prospects in AYUSH Sector’

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will take a meeting on July 26 at 3.30 pm in Mantralaya on the topic ‘Prospects in AYUSH Sector’. Presentation and discussion on the AYUSH based economic upgradation scheme ‘Devaranya’ prepared mainly for the residents of scheduled tribal areas of Madhya Pradesh will be held in the meeting. The meeting will be organized by the Madhya Pradesh State Policy and Planning Commission.

Under the scheme, AYUSH based activities will be increased to increase employment and livelihood opportunities in tribal dominated areas. Under this, the cultivation of medicinal and aromatic plants, industries based on them, drug manufacturing, storage, processing, marketing, promotion of rural and health tourism in tribal areas, empowerment of self-help groups, establishment of nurseries etc. Will go This scheme will be run by the Department of AYUSH in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of AYUSH and National Medicinal Plants Board etc. In this, MGNREGA and other schemes will be converged.

In the first phase, this scheme is proposed to be implemented in 5 districts of the state namely Satna, Jhabua, Betul, Hoshangabad and Dindori.
