Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan today addressed former President Dr. A.P.J. Remembering Abdul Kalam on his death anniversary. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also garlanded the portrait of Dr. Kalam.
Dr. Kalam is known as Missile Man. Born on 15 October 1931 in Dhanushkodi Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, Dr. Kalam was the 11th elected President of the Republic of India.
Dr. Kalam served as a scientist and administrator of science for the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) for four decades. He was instrumental in India’s space program and military missile development. He played a decisive, organizational and technical role in nuclear testing. Dr. Kalam passed away on July 27, 2015.
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was honored with the highest civilian award “Bharat Ratna”.
