Madhya Pradesh CM Chouhan grants Rs 14 lakh as financial aid to deceased labourer’s family

Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced financial assistance of a total Rs. 14 lakh to the children of a labourer couple who died in a road accident of Nevali block of Barwani district. Apart from paying tribute to the disabled, he said that we are the guardians of those innocent children and will take full care of them. Out of the amount to be given, Rs one lakh is for the immediate needs of the children and an FD of Rs 13 lakh for their future needs. Shri Chouhan also spoke to the children’s uncle Shri Rajesh on telephone and told him to take proper care of the children.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that this is a very sad incident. The labourer couple were returning home with their two children when they were hit by a trolley near Sendhwa border, which led to the couple’s death.

Government committed to bring back each labourer

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh government is committed to bring back every single labourer of the state. A large number of trains and buses are being run for them and they are being transported to their homes. No worker should hurry, do not walk, we will send every labourer home.

Outside labourers are our guests

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that there are a large number of labourers from outside states in the state. Also, with Madhya Pradesh being in the heart of the country, the labourers of various states pass through Madhya Pradesh while returning to their state. All these labourers are our guests. We will not let them walk. Also, we will not let them sleep hungry. About one thousand buses are being run daily which are taking these labourers to the state’s border every day. Arrangements for food, breakfast etc. is also being made for them. The public is also cooperating with the administration in this task.

Assistance of Rs one lakh on death, Rs 25 thousand to injured

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that labourers of other states have also died in some accidents. Madhya Pradesh government will provide assistance of Rs one lakh each to the families of all these labourers. Along with treating the injured free of cost, the government will also provide assistance of Rs 25 thousand each. We will extend all possible assistance to each labourer.
