Literacy rate in Odisha rose to 72.87 percent, drop out rate dips to 4.68%

Bhubaneswar: Literacy rate in Odisha rose to 72.87 percent in 2011 which is higher than National Average. This was informed by the School and Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra during press brief about the School and Mass Education department.
23,098 primary schools and 8,114 govt and aided schools in Odisha till 2016-17. Net Enrollment Ratio in primary education stands at 88.47%; drop out rate dips to 4.68% in 2016-17.
