Angul: Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL), Angul unit observed the 7th International Day of Yoga with a Yoga Programme organised in virtual mode. Yoga Guru Swami Satyabindu Saraswati conducted the Yoga Session and taught various Yoga positions for a healthy life. Hundreds of employees and their family members residing in and around the plant location attended this Yoga session at 5.30 early in the morning.
On this occasion the Chairman of JSPL Mr. Naveen Jindal also has greeted everyone through various social platforms saying that Yoga has been an integral part of his life for more than 2 decades. He urged everyone to embrace yoga for wellness.
Addressing the virtual programme, Angul Location Head and Executive Director Mr. Hridayeshwar Jha said, “Yoga is a boon for the society. Practicing Yoga has tremendous positive impact on our physical and mental wellbeing. It is good that we have a dedicated Yoga Guru in our organisation who not only takes regular yoga classes throughout the year but also guides us to practice yoga perfectly”.
“Practicing such postures for at least one hour in a day on regular basis will not only keep you healthy but also enhance your efficiency and productivity,” said the Yoga Guru Swami Satyabindu Saraswati.
On this occasion Mr. Damodar Mittal, President-JSPL emphasised on the importance of yoga and advised all participants to practice it regularly.
Mr. Ravi Shankar, Head-HR&ES presented the vote of thanks and expressed his gratitude to the Chairman of JSPL Mr. Naveen Jindal for engaging dedicated Yoga trainers in JSPL.
Similarly O.P. Jindal School, DAV-Savitri Jindal School and “Asha the Hope”, the Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Special needs, run by Jspl foundation also observed the International Day of Yoga through virtual mode and encouraged the students and their parents to practice yoga for a healthy life.
