Himachal Pradesh to organise conference to explore higher educational opportunities for Defence Forces Personals

Shimla: A spokesperson of H.P. Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission (HP-PERC) said here today that Academia-ARTRAC (Army) interaction would be organised in Head Quarter Army Training Command, Shimla on 2nd August, 2021 under the overall aegis of H.P. Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission (HP-PERC).

He said that the conference would be chaired by Lt. General Raj Shukla, Army Commander, ARTRAC. The discussion during the conference would be covering aspects related to research and innovation, higher educational opportunities for Defence Forces Personals and starting of defence and strategic courses.

He said that on 2nd August, a conference on Implementation of National Education Policy-2020 in Himachal Pradesh and making Himachal as education hub would be convened by H.P. Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission at Hotel Peterhoff, Shimla which would be inaugurated by Education Minister Govind Singh Thakur. All the Vice-Chancellors of State Private Universities of HP would attend the conference.

Issue related to the implementation of NEP-2020, skill/vocational training education to be embedded with traditional education, creating Himachal as the educational hub, organising students placement cell in HP-PERC to assist in employment generation, best practices and areas of coordination between state private universities would be discussed during the conference.
