Cuttack: HACK4FOOD Hackathon was scheduled on 27th and 28th April, 2019 at Sri Sri University, Cuttack. The event witnessed participation of more than 100 students from different engineering, management, agri and allied institutes of Odisha. The welcome speech was addressed by the Prof. (Dr.) P. Srinivas Subbarao, Dean, FCMS and CEO, SSU Innovation Pvt. Ltd. (An Incubation Centre of Sri Sri University), addressed the gathering about the objective of the Hackathon and how the budding and aspiring entrepreneurs will be benefitted through this programme. Prof. Prafulla Dhal, GM, CSR, JK Paper addressed the audience about different opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs in the area of agriculture and forestry.
Mr. Narendra Lamba, Director Operations, Sri Sri University explained about information technology application in the areas of agri and allied enterprises. Mr. Pranab Jyoti Nath, CEO, Startup Odisha inspired the budding and aspiring entrepreneurs to be job creators and congratulated Sri Sri University for its multiple initiatives for entrepreneurship development in the state. The Programme was coordinated by Mr. Barada Panigrahy and was mentored by eminent persons such as Dr. Sanat Mishra, Professor, OUAT; Col. Ashit Mahapatra, MD, Agrilink; Mr. Somesh Ranjan Behera, Founder, Novolutions Food and Beverage Pvt. Ltd.; Mr. Sanat Kumar Panda, Director Technology, Learnitude Technology Pvt. Ltd.; Mr. Prasant Biswal, Evangelist, Startup Odisha; Dr. Bhagirathi Nayak and Mr. Kaushal Borisagar. Hack4Food is a hackathon to generate ideas by budding and aspiring entrepreneurs of Odisha for technological interventions in agri and allied areas to add value to the agrarian community.
