Bhopal : The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the state government will bring back the labourers of Madhya Pradesh stranded in other states due to the lockdown. Necessary action will be taken in this connection. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also discussed the metter in detail with the Chief Ministers of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra labourers. They assured full cooperation.
The Chief Minister said that family members of the labourers stranded on other states will be permitted to go from Madhya Pradesh to bring them back. Simultaneously, labourers from other states stranded in Madhya Pradesh will also be permitted to go back to their states. For this, they will be able to use their own means or those provided by their state governments. He told that the workers stranded within Madhya Pradesh in the districts will be able to travel back to their districts. Instructions are being issued to the officials in this connection.
The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan informed that the safe return of workers will be done ensured strictly observing social distancing. Elaborate arrangements will be made for screening and testing of labourers returning home at the borders of districts.
Movement from Containment Area and Indore district restricted
No labourers will be allowed to move from the infected areas of the state and from Indore district. The Chief Minister directed the officials concerned to complete all arrangements in this regard so that the labourers do not face any problem.
