Dhenkanal: Ayesha Khanam, 10th Class student of GMR Varalakshmi DAV Public School at GMR Kamalanga Energy Limited (GKEL) Township in Dhenkanal district has brought laurels to the school by winning prize at District level.
She stood first position in an inter-school debate competition in the district during the observation of Vigilance Awareness Week at B.B High School, Dhenkanal. The topic of the debate was ‘My Vision—Corruption Free India’. The District wing of Vigilance Department organized the debate competition among the school students. Dhenkanal District Magistrate and Collector Mr. Bhupinder Singh Punia awarded her trophy and certificate during the occasion.
Ayesha expressed her views during the competition to eliminate corruption from society. The boisterous and cogent arguments of Ayesha found an arena of wits lending razor-sharp clarity to the motions. The spirited presentation of Ayesha, remarkable ingenuity and persuasive power was commended by all.
Mr. Ramesh R Pai, Chief Operating Officer(COO), GKEL congratulated her and school teachers for bringing glory to the school. School Principal and teachers wished her for winning first prize in the competition.
