Ganjam: Amidst the scary second wave of coronavirus and the steep rise in cases in state from the last few weeks, the vendors & merchant associations of Ganjam district have announced to close all shops in urban areas from 2 pm to 5 am for the next 10 days here to contain the spread of deadly virus.
Welcoming their decision, the Ganjam district administration tweeted, “We welcome the steps taken by merchants association, vendors association in urban areas to keep closing of shops from 2pm to 5am for next 10 days. We request all people to support this initiative. Together we can win this battle against COVID.”
Besides, the administration also appealed the people to follow it from 28th April to 9th May 2021 in all urban areas of Ganjam.
