Bhubaneswar: In an interactive session on ‘Good Governance: Fight Against Black Money’, organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Bhubaneswar today, Dr. Justice Arijit Pasayat, Vice-Chairman, SIT on Black Money and Retd. Judge of Supreme Court of Indiain his special addresspointed out that sectors like education hitherto a part of intellectual domain has also emerged as an area of generating black money in terms of capitation fees. “Good Governance includes accountability, transparency, fairness & equity, responsiveness, inclusive participation, efficiency and proficiency. All these build up an ecosystem that triggers a mechanism, which checks corruption and fights against black money,” said Dr.Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD NALCO and Chairman of CII Odisha State Council. Citing some good governance decisions taken by the Government of Indiarecently including Demonetization, GST and Digital Economy or Cashless Transactions, Dr. Chand said that these steps have given a boost to the Country’s fight against black money. Justice Pasayat also answered all the queries of the participants. Among others, Shri Asit Kumar Tripathy, IAS, Addl. Chief Secretary, Home Department, Govt. of Odisha spoke on the occasion.
