DMK, opposition parties decided to boycott Tamil Nadu assembly proceedings till March 31

Chennai: As the Govt is adamant to maintain TN assembly proceedings even after a state wide lockdown, opposition DMK and opposition parties decided to boycott the house till March 31. A letter in this regard is being given to the assembly speaker. DMK’s decision to boycott the assembly till March 31, after repeated pleas ignored by the Govt, cite two reasons: significance of Social Distancing and the necessity of MLAs’ presence at their constituencies to coordinate preventive measures.
