Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik visited Special Relief Commissioner office this evening along with chief secretary, development commissioner, senior officials of concerned departments and takes stock of measures taken to tackle Cyclone Titli .
After coming out of the meeting Patnaik said, “Nearly 3 lakh people have been evacuated and efforts are on to evacuate more people to safety.”
“The situation is being constantly monitored and all preventive measures is been taken by the state government to avoid any causality,” Patnaik added. Chief Minister during the meeting asked the officials concerned to stay focused on ensuring zero casualties during the cyclone and to remain on high alert.
Along with the deployment of 18 ODRAF teams in 14 districts of the state, all district SsP & Range heads have been asked to open emergency control rooms. Small teams with tree cutting equipment,ropes, generators,dry ration etc is also being stationed in each PS.
