Corona Volunteers assisted government in Corona control

Bhopal: Corona Volunteers are also working shoulder to shoulder with the administration to face the challenges of Corona on a call of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Representatives of various social organizations along with the Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad are playing the role of Corona Volunteers and are also playing the role of associates in the treatment of Corona patients with public awareness.

Corona Volunteers are active in almost every district of the state. These volunteers are becoming part of vaccinations, medical facilities, mask awareness and other activities of Covid control. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the state government is leaving no stone unturned to deal with the unprecedented crisis of Corona infection and its management. This battle is such that it can be won with the help of the society. The Corona Volunteers Campaign was launched with the aim of making the society an active partner in the efforts being made by the government for effective prevention of Corona infection. He informed that the Jan Abhiyan Parishad workers are playing an active role along with many social organizations in the state.

In Vidisha district, workers of Jan Abhiyan Parishad, members of Village Development Committees and members of voluntary organizations are conducting public awareness work under the ‘Mera Mask-Meri Suraksha’ campaign. People are being contacted and made aware of the utility of the mask and importance of Corona guidelines. Corona Volunteers are campaigning for awareness through messages in urban and rural areas.

Corona volunteers are extending their support to the Health Department staff by conducting awareness campaign for vaccinations in Bhopal district. At the same time, they are also counseling citizens on mask distribution and Roko-Toko campaign at the vaccination centers. In Ashoknagar district, Jan Abhiyan Parishad workers and Village Development Committees are making shopkeepers aware and urging them to follow social distancing by making circles outside shops.

In Datia district, Corona Volunteers are working to make different communities aware and disseminate important notifications and information. Messages regarding Corona prevention measures are also being displayed on the walls. In Morena district’s Porsa, Shri Manish Shivhare and his brother Bhupesh Shivhare, a consultant associated with the Jan Abhiyan Parishad, took a unique initiative to provide medical examination along with free meals to labourers from other states.

Corona Volunteers is also constantly in contact with people above 45 who are yet to be vaccinated. In Barakala village of Bhind district, Corona Volunteers gave yellow rice to such people and prepared them to get vaccinated. In Burhanpur and Dhar district, Jan Abhiyan Parishad workers are advising people to take precautions against Corona and make mandatory use of masks.

In Balaghat district, small groups of volunteers are being trained. Public awareness is being created by the Jan Abhiyan Parishad along with various social, religious, cultural and educational institutions of the district, giving the message of Corona control to the common people. In Katni district, NSS, Nehru Yuva Kendra, NCC along with other voluntary organizations and Jan Abhiyan Parishad, are organizing a public awareness campaign towards Corona. Awareness activities are being conducted regularly at the railway station also along with urban and rural areas.

Similarly, in other districts, Corona Volunteers are playing an active role in the battle against Corona along with the local administration.
