CM Chouhan addresses about decreasing corona cases in the state

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Corona infection has reduced to a great extent in the state. The weekly positivity rate has come down to less than one percent in about 50 districts of the state, and daily new cases have come down to less than 400. The recovery rate has gone up to 98.2 percent. The state ranks 23 rd in the country in terms of Corona infection. Nevertheless, there should be no laxity in vigilance. Everyone should wear masks, maintain mutual distance and take all other precautions.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that contacts of every Corona patient should be traced and it should be ensured that no patient is missed. Micro-containment area should be formed even if there are just one or two cases, so that infection does not spread.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that work is underway to increase beds, lay oxygen pipelines and set up oxygen plants for strengthening health services in all the districts. In-charge ministers should inspect these works in their districts and ensure their best quality.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was reviewing the situation and arrangements of Corona in the state at Mantralaya today through video conference. Medical Education Minister Shri Vishwas Sarang, Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Health Shri Mohammad Suleman etc. were present in the VC.

397 new cases

As many as 397 new cases of Corona have been reported in the state. The number of active patients is 5 thousand 447 and 1240 patients have recovered. The weekly positivity rate of the state is 0.7 percent and today’s positivity rate is 0.5 percent. In one day 79 thousand 261 tests have been conducted.

Only 3 districts with more than 10 cases

Now only three districts of the state including Indore, Bhopal and Jabalpur have more than 10 new cases. At the same time, there are more than 5 new cases in only 11 districts. This includes 117 new cases in Indore, 97 in Bhopal, 34 in Jabalpur, 8 in Betul, 8 in Gwalior, 7 each in Harda, Khargone and Ratlam and 6 each in Raisen and Rajgarh.

More than one percent positivity in only two districts

Weekly positivity rate is more than one percent in only two districts of the state viz. Indore and Bhopal. Indore has 1.2 percent and Bhopal has 1.8 percent weekly average positivity. The remaining 50 districts have a positivity rate of less than one percent.
