Chhattisgarh would be victorious in this battle against Corona Crisis: CM Bhupesh Baghel

 

Raipur: Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, in his address to the Collector Conference via video conferencing at his residence office today, said that Chhattisgarh will definitely win the battle against the corona crisis. We should not get disheartened or demotivated and instead fight with more conviction and persistence. Commendable work has been done in all the districts during corona crisis. Chief Minister thanked the officials and employees for working through the weekends and even on festivals. Although the graph of cases has gone up, I still believe that the way we have controlled the situation so far, we will do in future as well.
Chief Minister said that Inspector Generals of Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur have worked well for the pedestrians. They made necessary arrangements for the migrant labourers and provided them footwear. Besides, nodal officials appointed for various states have done commendable work. Raipur District Administration has worked diligently during this time. Facilities in quarantine centers were up to the mark. Chhattisgarh has been leading in terms of industrial production and employment as well. Employment opportunities were provided in both rural and urban areas. Certain industrial units have brought labourers without information, which is a matter of concern. Commendable work has been done in rural areas under MNREGA. People have been provided employment on a large scale and wages have been provided on time.
At the conference, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel gave instructions to make Public Service Guarantee act more effective. He directed officials to redress even the plain paper applications within given time limit by taken necessary action. He said that common people should not have to face any problems in availing any kinds of services under the Act. Officials failing to provide service within given time limit will be subjected to strict action. Chief Minister gave instructions to redress all the application received before 22 March, under the Public Service Guarantee Act, within a week and also gave instructions to make the application process online. Chief Minister also took district wise information about the pending applications under Public Service Guarantee Act.
Chief Minister directed all the Collectors to continue with the demarcation work until the beginning of rainy season and keep up the demarcation work even during urban areas. Chief Minister has given necessary guidelines to begin the document registration process in any tehsil of the district. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel praised officials employees in the state for their dedication towards controlling covid19 pandemic in Chhattisgarh for providing help to the labourers and migrants. He also appreciated the services of migrant labourers of other states and support of officials, employees and social welfare organizations.
Chief Minister said that migrant labourers in quarantine centers should be provided better facilities. Awareness and vigilance is important for keeping the community safe from corona infection.
Chief Minister acknowledged the fact that even in these difficult circumstances of corona infection and lockdown, economic activities went on uninterrupted in form of forest produce collection and financial aids were successfully provided to farmers, poor and labourers. Under MNREGA nearly 26 lakh people were provided employment and timely wage payment in villages. Chief Minister said that government and administration has successfully gained confidence of public through its public welfare works. At the conference, Chief Minister reviewed and gave necessary guidelines regarding corona pandemic control, relief arrangements and strategy, Narva, Garua, Ghurva, Badi Yojana, Haat Bazaar Clinic Yojana, opening English medium schools, Chief Minister Urban Slum Health Scheme, Suposhan Abhiyan, identification of Rural Landless Labourers, Prandhan Mantri Kisaan Samman Nidhi Yojana, Collection and Processing of Minor Forest produce, Forest Right Act, promotion of food processing, minor forest produce processing units, and other crops, renovation of schools before reopening, land allocation and regularization, urban slum lease renewal and free hold, government hostel ashram facilities, rainwater harvesting, ration cards job cards and labour cards issuance to migrant labourers who have returned due to covid-19 crisis. The video conference was attended by State Governments senior officials, Collectors, SPs, Divisional Commissioners, IGs, DFOs, CCfs, CEOs of Jila Panchayats and Municipal Commissioners from all the districts.
