Angul: Like every year, this year also the workforce residing at the Shramik Vihar of Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. (JSPL), Angul witnessed an exciting Pre-New Year celebration programme on Dec 30th, evening. The Managing Director of JSPL Mr. V.R. Sharma and the Chief Operating Officer-Odisha Business Mr. Pankaj Gautam graced the occasion as Chief-Guest and Guest-of-Honor respectively. Mr. Damodar Mittal, Head-Iron Making Zone, Mr. Alok Malhotra, Head-HR & ES and various other department heads were also present to witness the award giving ceremony. Mr. Sharma awarded different organizations and individuals for their exemplary and immense contribution for the growth of JSPL.
Addressing the gathering Mr. Sharma, greeted everyone a Very Happy and Prosperous New Year – 2020 and acknowledged the dedication and contribution of every workforce and community members for the success of JSPL with each passing day.
More than 4000 inhabitants of Shramik Vihar, employees and villagers from the periphery in huge numbers witnessed the musical night and exchanged best wishes for the New Year.
On this occasion Mr. Gautam, greeted one and all for a new beginning with new commitment to do something better and bigger for their family and the society in the year 2020. He advised all to follow the safety rules in their day to day activity.
Mr. Asish Ranjan Mohanty, Head (Business HR), concluded the event with vote of thanks by expressing his gratitude to all the guests, event management committee, all the workforce engaged to make the event a success.
