JSPL celebrates Glorious 50th Birthday of Naveen Jindal

Angul: Thousands of people including employees and local villagers celebrated the 50th Birthday of Mr. Naveen Jindal, Chairman of Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL) and prayed for his welfare and long life. On this occasion, Mr. Pankaj Gautam, Chief Operating Officer of JSPL-Odisha and various; Mr. Suresh Kumar, Executive Director – Maintenance; Mr. Damodar Mittal, Iron Making Zone Head; Mr. Alok Malhotra, HR & ES Head and other senior officials attended cake-cutting ceremonies held at different locations of the Steel Plant at Angul.

Like every year this year also the Birthday of Naveen Jindal was celebrated as Fitness Day and a mega Yoga camp was held under the direct guidance of Yoga Guru Swami Satyabindu Saraswati ji at Jindal Nagar Township.

Joining the celebration, Jindal Mahila Samiti (JMS) and JSPL Foundation under the leadership of Mrs. Pratibha Gautam, President, JMS and Mrs. Puspalata Satapathy, GM-CSR, respectively took up various charitable activities including donation of water purifier and food items for all the inhabitants of DISHA Senior Citizen Home at Susuda, Angul.

Wishing all the happiness and success to Mr. Naveen Jindal, Mr. Pankaj Gautam asked for commitment from each and every one to follow the path of Hon’ble Chairman Sir and to contribute towards nation building activities.

Employees of JSPL at its Bhubaneswar Office also celebrated Mr. Jindal’s 50th Birth Day with cutting of cake, special puja in Jagannath Temple and distribution of sweets among specially abled children. Addressing the employees Mr. Prashant Kumar Hota, President & Group Head (CSR & Sustainability) described Mr. Jindal as a true lover of India, a patriot who fought alone and won a long legal battle to give each and every Indian to wave the National Flag our Tiranga and icon of Fitness as well as a votary of Swaraj who took the first daring step of setting up the Coal Gasification Plant at Angul using the locally available thermal coal as an import substitute.
