Bhubaneswar : Around 7 hundred ladies from across many villages of Baphlimali Mines periphery celebrated International Womens’s Day at Jogiparitunda village under Kashipur Block. This program wasorganized by Utkal Alumina International Ltd.Since this is a ceremony dedicated to celebrating womanhood, their social, political, cultural, economic achievements and their significant contributions to society, many of the women entrepreneurs have been felicitated in the program by the dignitaries present there.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr. Soubhagya Behera, Tehsildar, Kashipur Block applauded the efforts of Utkal Alumina for organizing such a grand event in this remote place. CDPO, Ms. Nalini Bairagi also appreciated the company’s effort for organizing such an event. She thanked the company for extending all support for community development work with Govt. machinery with respect to women’s activity.
By seeing the mammoth gathering, Mr. Mazharullah Beig, Joint President – Utkal Alumina assured that such type of event will be organized in more and more often in the ensuing days.
Among other luminaries, Mr. BRK Padhi, Vice President, Utkal Alumina, Dr. Lopamudra Priyadarshini, GM – CR, Utkal Alumina,Mr. SibaSankar Mahapatra, DGM – CSR, Utkal Alumina, Ms. Henna Beig and Ms. Sudha Krishna of Utkalina Club were present in the program.
