Odisha Cabinet nod to 8 proposals; VAT waiver on pulses extended till June 30

Bhubaneswar: OdishaCabinet nod to 8 proposals; VAT waiver on pulses extended till June 30, amendments to start-up policy cleared . Cabinet, which met under chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, decided to allocate a five-acre land to the Omfed at Barang, on the city outskirts to set up a milk processing plant with daily production capacity of 5 lakh litres. It was also decided to provide 3.5 acres of land free of cost for setting up of an IT park at Rourkela.

Amendment to the Startup Policy 2016 put forth by the MSME Department was also approved by the Cabinet. From now the Startups will get incentives on an individual basis. The amendment is expected to boost the MSME sector in the State, said sources.

Besides, the Cabinet decided to allot land to National Highway Authority of India at premium rates for its projects in the State. Earlier, the NHAI had asked for free land from the State Government for its projects. The Cabinet has also approved amendments to Auditor’s Service Rules and Odisha Forest Cadre Rules.
