JSPL’s Mega Steel Plant Hosts Young Business Leaders

Angul: A delegation of business leaders, representing Young President’s Organisation (YPO), Chennai chapter visited Odisha’s biggest steel plant set up by Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL) at Angul. During the visit JSPL’s Chairman Shri Naveen Jindal and JSPL Foundation’s Co-Chairperson Smt. Shallu Jindal guided the delegation, consisting 26 young business leaders from different business houses.

The visiting delegation visit saw different units of the mega steel complex, which houses India’s largest Blast Furnace, Sinter Plant, Billet Casters; World’s largest Syngas based DRI Plant, Coal Gasification Plant for Steelmaking, Bar Mill; and India’s most advanced Basic Oxygen Furnace, New Electric Oxygen Furnace, Plate Mill, Coke Oven, etc. They also visited the Temple situated at DevaBhoomi, Jindal Nagar and had an overview of sustainable social development initiatives being implemented by JSPL Foundation under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme of the company.

The Young Business Leaders’ appreciated the mega Steel Plant’s state of the art technology, modern process and quality products. They also appreciated JSPL for its innovative community development initiatives.

The dignitaries visited today, were from companies like: MRF, Kothari Sugars & Chemicals, Karmen Group, Bharat Matrimony, E.I.D Parry, Sri Saravana Mills, Rajsriya Automotive, Isteel, Ceebros, Best Corporation Limited, Peepul Capital, Dr. Agarwals Eye Hospital, Balaha Chemicals, Ceebros Hotels, BBCI Constructions, Shilpa Architects, AVT Natural Products, KG Group, Spero Reality, Maris Spinners Limited, Indium Software, Nirmana Reality, Kumaraguru Institutions, A.R. Foundations, Sumangala Steel, Rebar Design and Archean Group.

The Young Presidents’ Organization is a global network of Young Chief Executives from more than 130 countries. Leaders who have become President, Chairman or Chief Executive Officer of a Company complying with other eligibility criteria can become a member of this global organization.

Last year, a delegation of 25 members of the YPO, Delhi Chapter had visited the Angul Plant of JSPL and was highly appreciative of the State of Art Technology of the Plant and its clean and green environment.
