Vision Centre Opened at Utkal Hospital

Bhubaneswar: In a mission to provide modern and affordable medical facility to the destitute tribal villagers of Rayagada in general and its surrounding areas in particular, Utkal Alumina International Limited (UAIL) a fully owned subsidiary of Hindalco, metals flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group, opened a Vision Centre at its Utkal Hospital in Oshapada, Kashipur Block of Rayagada District. The centre was started in collaboration with LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad under the project – ‘Vision for All.’

Mr. N. Nagesh Unit Head & President, UAIL inaugurated the centre in presence of Dr. Arindam Roy Choudhury Chief Medical Officer, UAIL, Mr Niranjan Kumar, Asst. Director Vision Centre Network, LV Prasad Eye Institute and other senior executives of the company. In his deliberation, Mr. N. Nagesh, reiterated the company’s missionary objective to bring morden and high-tech facilities in the field of education and health at the door step of villagers living in the surrounding areas.

The state of the art eye centre will provide eye related treatments in a cheapest way. Besides affordable lenses, frames will be available from the range of Rs. 80 to Rs. 1000 only in the centre. The centre will work all 7 days from 8.00 am to 7.00 PM evening of a week.
