Electronic receipt and disbursement system in Integrated Financial Management System of Odisha has been conferred with Smart Governance Award in 49th Skoch Summit held at Constitution Club, New Delhi on 09th of September, 2017. Earlier Skoch Award of Merit was conferred on electronic receipt and disbursement and Pension Reforms in Government of Odisha on 08th of September, 2017.
This award has been given to the IFMS project of Finance Department which was implemented by the Directorate of Treasuries & Inspection in view of their contribution in establishing a sound and convenient platform for electronic receipt of the State Government taxes and dues and the disbursements made by various agencies of the State Government to the employees, pensioners, citizens, suppliers, contractors, vendors etc. It may also be mentioned that IFMS, Odisha enables faster transfer of pension contributions to the Pension Fund Managers appointed by the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Agency (New Delhi). IFMS, Odisha has earlier been conferred with CSI-Nihilent’s Sustenance Award, 2016, National e-Governance Award given by Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Government of India. The electronic receipt & payment platform of IFMS has been acknowledged as a model and officials from many State Government visited Odisha for study.
The award was received on behalf of the State Government by a team of Officers from the Directorate of Treasuries & Inspection.
