Bhubaneswar: Ruling BJD candidates bagged 282 seats, whereas opposition BJP won 15 Zilla Parishad seats and Congress candidates won as many as 14 seats in the panchayat elections which came to the fore after results of as many as 315 Zilla Parishad seats have been declared .
Of the total 622 seats (315 yesterday and 307 today), the BJD has bagged 282 Zilla Parishads and leading in another 239 seats, so far. On the other hand, the BJP leads on 43, Congress 30, and others on six.
The counting of votes for 229 Zila Parishad zone seats will be held on February 29.
