Puri: The servitors on Thursday tied a 14-feet long Chunar to the Nilachakra after removing the small flag which was earlier replaced on May 1 in view of the extremely severe cyclonic storm FANI.
Earlier, the 5-feet flag was tied to the Nilachakra from May 1 to 5 in order to avoid any interruption in carrying out the rituals at the Srimandir during the severe cyclone storm.
