Punjab CM calls on Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu

New Delhi: Minister for Urban Development, Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation and Information & Broadcasting Shri M Venkaiah Naidu today met Chief Minister of Punjab Shri Amarinder Singh to discuss and detail various issues in implementation of the Flagship schemes of the Government of India. Shri Venkaiah Naidu informed Punjab CM about the recent initiative of conducting review meetings across the country to take first hand report on the issues and evaluate status of various programs and initiatives relating to his Ministries. Senior officials from Ministries above mentioned and Officials from State of Punjab were present during the meeting.

Shri Naidu mentioned that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, more powers are delegated to the State Government and that the spirit of Cooperative Federalism is upheld.

Both the Ministers discussed areas of collaboration between the Governments in order to facilitate effective implementation of Flagship schemes of the Government.
