The Talcher fertiliser plant will start production in 36 months; will come again after 3 years for inauguration says PM Modi. Talcher fertiliser plant is a proof of failure of the previous govt but it will be a testament to our achievement. Not only Talcher, five other fertiliser plants in the country are in the process of revival, says PM Narendra Modi at a public meeting in Talcher.

The Fertilizer Plant will also utilize the vast available domestic coal reserves in Odisha to produce Natural Gas in an environment friendly manner. This will significantly reduce LNG import bills to the tune of Rs. 1620 Cr per annum & pave the way for greater energy sufficiency. The Talcher Fertilizer Plant #TFL is India’s first Coal Gasification based fertilizer plant. The Plant envisages to produce 1.27 MMTPA Urea leading to enhanced indigenous production and greater self reliance in urea which will immensely benefit the farmers of our country.
