Odisha Skills Development Authority Chairman Subroto Bagchi talks capacity building to Nuapada students

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Skills Development Authority Chairman Subroto Bagchi visited Nuapada district on Thursday and participated in various programmes. Visiting Raja AT High School, the oldest high school in the district of Nuapada, he interacted with the students on issue of capacity building and life goals.

He cited the example of a talented boy of Lakhna named Gautam Sahu, who has topped the entrance test of World Skill Center.

“Gautam Sahu, son of a small utensils shop owner of Lakhna village of Nuapada district was disheartened with 55% marks in 10th. He came to ITI Khariar Road, where he got his confidence back, joined the Nuapada Polytechnic and from there to the World Skills Centre. Gautam will get world-class training and global exposure,” he said.

He later arrived at the Industrial Training Center at Badi and while interacting with the students had lunch with them.

Nuapada District Magistrate Swadha Deb Singh and Superintendent of Police Pratyush Divakar were also present. Later, while addressing reporters, Bagchi again told about Gautam Sahu and another girl from Bargarh district who made history by running a diesel engine.
