Odisha Govt launches launches Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana; 70 lakh housholds to be benefited

Bhubaneswar: CM Naveen Patnaik launched Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) which provides annual cashless health coverage of Rs 5 lakh per beneficiary family. More than 70 lakh families will be benefited by the scheme.

Addressing the state on the occasion, the chief Minister launched his government’s most ambitious universal health benefit scheme, ‘Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BKSY)’ starting from today. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday unfurled the national flag at a special function held at the Mahatma Gandhi Marg here on the occasion of 72nd Independence Day.

CM Patnaik said the Odisha Government is giving priority to farmers, women and youths of the state. The farmers are being provided with loan at 1% interest rate, he added. The Chief Minister also paid rich tribute to freedom fighters and martyred soldiers. He remembered great sons of the soil who sacrificed their life during the freedom struggle of the country.
