Bhubaneswar: Odisha Forest officials trapped leopard spotted in capital city Bhubaneswar.  The leopard that was seen roaming in Palashpali area in Bhubaneswar two days ago, was trapped by forest officials late last night near the cargo gate of Biju Patnaik airport, safely shifted to Nandankanan Zoo.

The leopard was captured yesterday night without any injury to the animal or to the people.

It should be noted that the leopard was first spotted on Sunday. According to the locals, the leopard scaled the boundary wall and entered the premises of the commercial establishment. The animal, which is a protected species under the Wildlife Protection Act, had strayed into the city areas either from Chandaka or Delang forest area.
