Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik visits the Baramunda Bus stand to review the progress of ISBT work, New Interstate Bus Terminal to be ready by mid 2022

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inspected the construction of Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) in Baramunda and reviewed the progress of the work. Hon’ble Chief Minister said the new ISBT in Bhubaneswar will cost about ₹180 Crore and is expected to be completed in 18 months.

Chief Minister praised its design and said that it will be a new landmark in Bhubaneswar. The project has two parts-one is Khandagiri Bus Depot and the other is Baramunda Inter State Bus Terminal. Hon’ble Chief Minister expressed satisfaction on the timely completion of Khandagiri Bus Depot work.

Chief Minister said that at ISBT, special emphasis is being given on passenger convenience with state-of-the-art design, wide access and exit of buses and commercial space. He further said that transformation work of ISBT has been undertaken under the 5-T programme.

Minister Sri Ashok Chandra Panda, Hon’ble MLA Sri Anant Narayan Jena, Hon’ble MLA Sri Sushant Rout, Chief Secretary Sri Asit Tripathy, Secretary to Hon’ble Chief Minister (5-T) Sri V. K. Pandian, Commissioner BMC, Police Commissioners along with senior officers were present during the visit.
