Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik says no place for indiscipline or violence, in BJD. CM Patnaik says attack on Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda is condemnable. He asked district observer to probe the matter.

On the other hand Minister Pratap Jena said that heard people brought to the locality in 10 vehicles from outside; no local was present during incident. Public was unhappy with MP Panda for his media statements which affect the party negatively, says minister Jena. It is an unfortunate incident, it was brought to my notice after I returned from Shirdi says minister Jena.

It should be noted that BJD Kendrapara Parliamentarian Baijayant Panda on Monday faced a moment of embarrassment when own party activists hurled eggs at him in his own constituency. However, he disregarded the incident; saying that he doesn’t fear of such attacks even if it was bullets instead of eggs.

The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MP was attacked while inaugurating an overhead water tank project at Jatiparilo village under Rahania Panchayat near Mahanga.

The lawmaker even took the matter to Twitter, saying that he is not afraid of stones and eggs.
