Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik asks officers to adopt Zero Tolerance Policy against corruption

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister (CM) Naveen Patnaik asks officers to adopt Zero Tolerance Policy against corruption. The CM stressed over formation of a overnight committee under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi.

In a bid to take strong action against corruption in the state, the CM reviewed the grafting allegations in the State Secretariat here today and asked the officers to adopt Zero Tolerance policy against corruption.

The Chief Minister said, “Corruption is the biggest enemy in administration”, he said. Till today, the State Vigilance Department has received 560 graft allegations. Acting on the basis of allegations, the sleuths have conducted surprise raids against 96 cases.

Reportedly, the panel will be constituted at block, district and state level to curb the corruption woes of Odisha with a focus of smooth execution of governement-led welfare programmes.
