Bhubaneswar: Odisha Cabinet approves Food & Procurement Policy for Kharif marketing season 2019-20 to procure 60 lakh MT of paddy from farmers as procurement starts from October 1.
Decision to disburse payments of farmers’ dues through online DBT mode within 24 to 48 hours of the sale of the paddy crop; inclusion of women SHGs apart from PACS & LAMPS in paddy procurement have also been approved by Odisha Cabinet.
