No 33% passing marks rule for Plus-II 1st year students this year: Education Minister Samir Dash

Bhubaneswar: Odisha School & Mass Education minister, Samir Dash clarifies that 33% pass marks & 75% attendance rules for Plus-II 1st year students will be applicable from next year.

Minister Dash said “No 33% passing marks rule for Plus-II 1st year students this year.” The minister further stated, mandatory 75% attendance for progress into 2nd year will also be not applicable this year. These rules will be implemented from next year, he added.

The minister, however, clarified that there will be no change in the examination pattern and the Colleges will send the marks of students to CHSE next year. Special provisions will be made for students who will fail to secure 33 % aggregate marks in all subjects, the minister added.
