Madhya Pradesh implemented a new system for operation of liquor,bhang shops in districts categorized zone wise from May 5

Bhopal : The state government has implemented a new system for operation of liquor and bhang shops in districts categorized zone wise from May 5 due to the Novel Corona virus infection in the state.

According to the new system, all liquor and bhang shops in the districts of Bhopal, Indore and Ujjain falling in the Red Zone will be closed till the next order. Liquor and bhang shops in other areas will be opened, except in the urban areas of the Jabalpur, Dhar, Barwani, East Nimar (Khandwa), Dewas and Gwalior district headquarters. Liquor and bhang shops will be opened in areas other than containment areas of Khargone, Raisen, Hoshangabad, Ratlam, Agar-Malwa, Mandsaur, Sagar, Shajapur, Chhindwara, Alirajpur, Tikamgarh, Shahdol, Sheopur, Dindori, Burhanpur, Harda, Betul, Vidisha, Morena and Rewa falling under Orange Zone. All liquor and bhang shops in the districts under the Green Zone will be opened.

All the licensees have been directed to ensure compliance of the SOP and distance of two yards issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India and Commercial Tax Department, Madhya Pradesh Government at their shops.
