Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan to unveil statue of Bharat Mata on August 15

Bhopal : On the occasion of the Independence Day, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will unveil 25 feet high statue of Bharat Mata at Shourya Smarak of Bhopal at 8.30 a.m. on August 15. The height including pedestal of the bronze made Bharat Mata statue, erected on lotus is about 37 feet. The Minister for Urban Development and Housing Shri Bhupendra Singh and Minister for Culture, Tourism and Adhyatm Sushri Usha Thakur will also present on the occasion.

It is to be mentioned that the Shourya Smarak built in memory and honour of Martyrs of Indian Defense Forces was inaugurated by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on October 14, 2016. Brief historical information concerning India Army, Air Force and Navy, photographs, photographs of arms and ammunitions, table top models, scale models, description of gallantry awards & medals besides publications have been exhibited for the visitors in the Shourya gallery of the Shourya Smarak, spread over 13 acre of area approximately. Along with exhibiting short films in gallery, general Public are also being introduced with gallantry tales of Indian defense Forces. So far, the Shourya Smarak has been visited by over 26 lakh 50 thousand people.
