Angul: Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. (JSPL), Angul has been honoured for its efforts towards achieving energy efficiency. The company received Energy Excellence Award in Gold Category by for its efficient energy utilisation initiatives.
Congratulating all the employees and workers for this prestigious, JSPL’s Angul Location Head and Executive Director (I/c) Mr. Atul Misra said, “Efficient use of energy is an important indicator of our commitment and action for contributing to a greener environment.”
JSPL participated in the Energy Excellence Award competition organized by Grow Care, India and submitted a detail report on various activities taken by it for energy efficiency. After due evaluation by a jury consisting of energy management experts of national repute the company was selected for Energy Excellence Award in Gold Category.
The award was received by Ravi Kant Somani (Executive Vice President & Group Head – Health & Safety) and Jay Prakash Choudhary (Energy Manager – Angul) in a glittering award ceremony held at New Delhi last month. The award was given away by Shri Muzaffar Ahamad (Former Member, NDMA), Shri Hari Om Pandey (Member of Parliament) and Shri PM Chandra Mohan (Director of Factories – Telangana).
