Joint enforcement team recovers 4,800 square feet space near Baramunda

Bhubaneswar: With the go ahead from the Central Enforcement Monitoring Committee (CEMC) for eviction of unauthorised construction over Government land near Bhagabati Basti, Baramunda, Ward No-50 in Khandagiri revenue Mouza area under Khandagiri Police Limits, a joint squad of BDA and BMC today removed several houses and a make-shift factory.
The requisition for the eviction was made by Zonal Deputy Commissioner (South West Zone), under the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC ) and senior officials from BDA Enforcement Department and BMC were present at the venue.
The squad approved 04 numbers of tin shed houses, a make-shift factory and other establishments, demolished as detected by BMC Squad earlier. The important mention here is that the entire eviction was carried out without any help from police force.
With today’s eviction the BDA-BMC squad so far has recovered more than 4,800 square feet space from illegal encroachment. As per one BDA official the CEMC so far has made boundaries over 165 acres of land with the help of BDA. The total number of eviction cases must be more than 350 so far.
