Puri: The Holy Trinity returned to their Ratna Singhasan in the Shreemandir here on Saturday after 11 days of their annual Rath Yatra that had begun on June 23 this year. The return of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra to their abode was preceded by Niladri Bije rituals by servitors at the temple’s Lions Gate in the absence of public devotees due to the Covid-19 restrictions as was on the other occasions of the Rath Yatra events this year.
As per tradition, Lord Jagannath offered Rasagola to His spouse Maa Lakshmi on His and His siblings’ way to the temple to please the goddess over Her anger for His absence in the shrine leaving Her alone.
