Farmers under no compulsion to sell crops at Mandis says Madhya Pradesh CM

Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that farmers will no longer have to go to Mandi to sell their crops. He informed that arrangements have been made for direct purchase of produce from the farmer through private mandi, e-trading and traders. This is proving beneficial to farmers. Shri Chouhan said that amendments will be made in other rules and procedures if necessary for the welfare of farmers. Shri Chouhan gave this information during a discussion with farmers in Mantralaya through audio bridge.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan informed that arrangements have been made to provide employment to workers in wheat procurement and other schemes including MNREGA as per the guidelines of the Government of India. He has said that several necessary steps have been taken in the interest of farmers during Corona crisis. Government has started the work of wheat procurement, which is going on qutie smoothly. Besides, arrangements have also been made to purchase other Rabi crops.

The Chief Minister informed that all possible efforts are being made to control Corona infection in the state. He said that we are confident that we will definitely win this war against Corona. The Chief Minister said that due to Corona crisis, he is not able to personally visit any place in the state to see the condition. Therefore, we are constantly giving information to the people about the arrangements being made by the government by connecting with the common people through video conferencing, telephone, audio bridge and other communication medium as per the guidelines of the Governemnt of India. Also, we are making efforts to control Corona.

Wish people from afar

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that everyone has to adhere to social distancing. He urged that the rule of maintaining distance of two yards should be followed. Gatherings and ceremonies should not be organized. Everyone should use face mask or scarf, which will keep the nose and mouth covered. Also, no one should spit or spread dirt anywhere. We should avoid shaking hands. We have to wish people from afar.

Ration has been distributed to everyone

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that food grain is being distributed to consumers in 25 categories. Initially, arrangements have been made to provide ration for three months and later for two months. It will be distributed to all by the first week of this month. He urged that the workers and social workers at the village level should keep an eye on this work and ensure that everyone receives the money. Shri Chouhan gave detailed information about facilities provided to the public under various schemes. Regarding the Ayurvedic kadha, the Chief Minister said that it is useful in increasing the immunity of a person against diseases. This decoction is being distributed in the state on a large scale.

Salute the warriors

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan expressed respect to all the Corona warriors who have been responsible for the treatment and care of the citizens affected by Corona virus. Shri Chouhan also praised the services provided by employees of local bodies, revenue workers and police personnel. The Chief Minister thanked all the people for their cooperation and said ‘Ye rein andheri beetegi, patwar chalate jayenge. Manzil ayegi, zaroor ayegi’.
