Bhubanswar: Cyclone AMPHAN over west central Bay Of Bengal has crossed Dhamra at distance of 110 km from coast. It is heading north-northeastwards and likely to cross Chandipur around 12.30. It is very likely to cross WB and Bangladesh during late afternoon says IMD. Dhamra recorded maximum wind speed of 120 kmph.
The sea surface was rough and it would continue for the next 48 hrs. The surface winds at #Chandipur is around 70-80 kmph. It is likely to increase to 100 kmph during passage of cyclone AMPHAN.
