BR Life Kalinga Hospital Inaugurates its First Patient Attendant Lounge “Pratikshalaya”

Bhubaneswar: BR Life Kalinga Super Speciality Hospital, one of the city’s best and the largest healthcare providers, inaugurated one–of–its–kind in Odisha, a patient attendant lounge, “Pratikshalaya” at its hospital premises today. The lounge, equipped with all basic amenities and its capacity to accommodate at least 70 people, was inaugurated by Mr.Subash Singh, Chairman, Nirman Shramik Kalyan Board, Govt of Odisha. The lounge has been created with an aim to provide a convenient and hassle-free stay for the family members of the patients undergoing treatment at the hospital.
BR Life Kalinga Hospital, known for its clinical excellence, best in class and quality care at affordable prices, has been receiving patients from far flung over the past two decades. The hospital authorities have noticed the struggle that patients’ relatives or attendants who accompany them go through to find aconvenient yet affordable stay nearby throughout the entire tenure of the treatment.
On the occasion of the inauguration, Mr. Varghese P. The Pratikshalaya is a safe shelter for all patient attendants who helplessly take shelter in the hospital premises, while some stay without shelter at times. The lounge provides round-the-clock check-in and check-out facility and is under CCTV surveillance for better security and protection.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Subash Singh, Chairman, Nirman Shramik Kalyan Board, Govt. of Odisha said, “Odisha, over the years, has emerged as the health capital of our country with patients coming from neighbouring states like West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar regularly to avail healthcare facilities. I am very pleased to attend this inauguration ceremony of BR Life Kalinga “Pratikshalaya”. It will help patients’ relatives and attendants to stay in a secured place, especially for the women attendants. We want every patient to get quality healthcare services and their attendants are looked after with utmost care.”
