Shri Jagannath Mohatsav begins at Nalco township at Damanjodi

 

Bhubaneswar: As part of annual festival of Shri Jagannath Temple at Nalco Township at Damanjodi, a 05 day long Shri Jagganath mohatsav is being organized from 10th March, at the sector I Shri Jagannath Temple premises. Organised by Nalconagar Temple Committee, Damanjodi, in association with Shree Jagannath Sanskruti Parishad, the function is witnessing participation of Seers from across state and gathering of large number of devotees from southern and western part of Odisha.

Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb graced the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest, while Shri Ramachandra Das of Puri Gopalaballava matha and Acharya Swami Madhabananda Saraswati of Chinmaya Mission, Ranchi, were present on the occasion as the guests of honour. Besides, the regular spiritual discourses by eminent speakers, the mahotsav, would give an opportunity to visitors to know more about the various rituals related to Shri Jagannath culture & traditions.

A book ‘Tradition of Lord Jagannath’ authored by Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb and the book ‘Amrutavani’ of Nalco temple management committee, Damanjodi, were also released on the inaugural day. Among others, Shri R.S Das, ED(M&R), Shri Ramachandra Tripathy, President, Shri R.N. Upadyaya & Shri SS Sahoo of Nalconagar Temple Committee were notably present on the occasion.
