Puri: Aerial visuals taken by Indian Navy’s Dornier Aircraft show massive damage due to CycloneFani in Puri. Indian Navy P-8I and Dornier about to take off for aerial recce around Cyclone Fani and to guide rescue and relief ops. Dornier got airborne from Vizag yesterday afternoon for u/t aerial survey to assess the impact & extent of devastation caused in the aftermath of Cyclone Fani.

Apart from a large number of trees, electric poles were also found uprooted which led to road blocks in the city limits of Puri. The roof of Puri Railway Station was also blown off. Large scale water inundation was observed in many areas, especially in the low lying ones between Puri and the tourist attraction Chilka Lake.
