Project ‘SuPoshan’, alleviating malnutrition and anaemia, was nominated for ‘Public Health Initiative’. After submitting the nomination forms, the entries went through a stringent evaluation process and were rated and qualified on three parameters – early bird, jury evaluation and popular vote.
Project SuPoshan is supported by Adani Wilmar and implemented by Adani Foundation. SuPoshan has reached to more than 2 lakh households across 11 States.
SuPoshan is a community-based intervention to address issues of malnutrition and anaemia among selected geographies of India that adopts a life cycle approach. It focuses on children between the age group of 0-5 years, adolescent girls, lactating mothers, pregnant women and women in the reproductive age in general.
Through The Last Mile project, Adani Foundation was able to reach out to a population of 1,04,731 with the relief work during the Gujarat floods in August 2017. The Last Mile was nominated in the ‘Disaster Relief Activities’ category at the SKOCH Awards.
Swachhagraha was nominated for the ‘Green and Environmental Stewardship’. Swachhagraha focuses on creating a culture of cleanliness and promoting civic consciousness among citizens through young leaders. It aims to bring a lasting change in the country, specifically in the health scenario by targeting sanitation related problems. Swachhagraha has reached out to more than 4000 schools across 17 States.
