Puri: KIIT & KISS founder Achyuta Samanta tenders unconditional apology for conducting ‘Pusyavisekha’ ritual, promises no recurrence in future.
Mukti Mandap,Pandit Mahasabha members stage demonstration in Puri against KIIT and KISS founder Achyuta Samanta’s ‘Pusyavisekha’ , demand unconditional apology; FIR also lodged by a lawyer at Singhadwara police station.Jagannath Sena and Srikhetra Swabhiman Manch came down heavily and staged agitation against him for conducting his own ‘Pusyaviseka’ .Samanta conducted the ritual on the lines of Puri Gajapati King reportedly at the Jagannath temple of KIIT. The pictures showed him in royal attire being coronated to the chanting of vedic hymns by Brahmins.
