Odisha’s Sudhi Ranjan Mohanty appointed as Madhya Pradesh Chief Secretary

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Sudhi Ranjan Mohanty appointed MP Chief Secretary. Madhya Pradesh government has appointed Shri Sudhi Ranjan Mohanty as the Chief Secretary. Shri Mohanty is an Indian Administrative Officer of the 1982 batch. Currently he was posted as Chairman of Board of Secondary Education.

Born on March 22, 1960, Shri Mohanty holds a B.A. Hons. in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi and MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. The first posting of Shri Mohanty came in the form of Assistant Collector, Sarguja in 1983. He has been Collector Balaghat, Satna and Indore. Shri Mohanty has been Managing Director MARKFED and Commissioner Public Relations. After being the Comptroller Government Press, Commissioner Women and Child Development, he was Secretary, Public Health and Family Welfare, Member Secretary, State Planning Commission, Secretary Planning and Economic Statistics Department and Secretary, New and Renewable Energy Department.

Shri Mohanty has also been Principal Secretary and Additional Chief Secretary in the Department of School Education and New and Renewable Energy Department. He has been holding the post of Chairman Board of Secondary Education since February 2015. During his service period, Shri Mohanty has received training from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Delhi, N.I.R.D. Hyderabad as well as from London on financial management, management of development activities etc.
