Bhubaneswar: Sri Shashi Bhusan Behera, Minister, Finance and Excise has become a member in the Ministerial Committee of GST council. It has been communicated in a letter from centre. It is stated that a Group of Ministers (GoM) to monitor and resolve the IT challenges faced in implementation of GST has been constituted in which Sri Behera is included.
Other members in the group are Sri Amar Agarwal, Minister for Commercial Taxes, Chhatishgarh, Sri Krishna Byregowda, Minister for Agriculture, Karnatak and Sri Atela Rajendar, Finance Minister, Telengana. Sri Sushil Kumar Modi, Deputy Chief Minister, Bihar will work as Convener while the group will be assisted in its work by Sri A.B. Pandey, Chairman, Goods and Services Tax Network and Sri Prakash Kumar, CEO of the Network.
