Nitin Gadkari takes over as Union Minister for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation

New Delhi: Union Minister for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Shri Nitin Gadkari has said that he will soon set up a task force for speedy implementation of various ongoing programme of the Ministry. Speaking to media persons after taking charge of the new Ministry Shri Gadkari said various other Ministries like Drinking Water and Sanitation, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj and Urban Development have to work together to full fill the responsibilities entrusted upon us by the Prime Minister. He said all programmes and projects of the Ministry will be executed within a definite time frame. Shri Gadkari said he will work for a corruption free and transparent system in the Ministry with the help of every one. He said most of the programmes of the Ministry have taken a sound shape and about to take off within no time.

Speaking on the occasion Union Minister for Drinking Water and Sanitation Sushri Uma Bharti said, “Namami Gange programme ki pahli ahuti maine dali aur iski poorn ahuti Gadkari ji dalenge”. She expressed the hope that Shri Nitin Gadkari will be able to execute her unfulfilled task with great dedication.

Earlier, on his arrival at the Ministry Shri Gadkari was received by Union Ministers of State for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal and Dr. Satya Pal Singh, Secretary Dr. Amarjeet Singh and other senior officials of the Ministry.
